Les 33 de Bon Gré

It is a work based on the FEMININE and realized in 2014. The artist met randomly, without any particular criteria, 33 women from Guadeloupe, in order to create a series of 33 paintings.
He took pictures of their hair, hands, feet, eyes and mouths. He also took their fingerprints, dates of birth, poems they had created and any other personal items they wanted to share (fabrics, souvenirs, family photos, drawings, etc).
On the computer, the artist staged all these elements graphically and integrated this digital work into the background of each work. Thus, in each canvas, there is a part from each of the 33 women.
